Minakami Town, the Environment Agency's "Select 100 Villages of Hometowns", is a beautiful city blessed with rich nature, water and hot springs.
It is also known as the "water reservoir of Kanto," and there are many clear streams that nurture creatures such as fireflies.

When viewing fireflies, please avoid using bright lights and loud noises, refrain from using flashlights or camera flashes, and never catch or take fireflies home.
Please be careful of your footing and insects, and we recommend wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants to cover your skin when going out.
